Self-serve alternative

A self-serve alternative to PowerScribe and Dragon

No enterprise license, no reseller call, no desktop install. On-device speech recognition means your speech is transcribed on the device, and it works between cases, at the reading station, or wherever you review studies. See how Doctilio compares to PowerScribe, Dragon Medical, and Dragon Anywhere, or read exactly how your report data is handled in our Privacy Policy.

Buying for a group?

Our "enterprise" is deliberately small today: group pricing, and a direct line to the person who built the app. Every doctor in your group gets the same self-serve app, there is no admin console, no SSO, and no PACS or EHR integration project. Tell us what you need, and we'll tell you plainly what exists today.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What Doctilio is, what it isn't, and how it handles your reports and your data.

Is Doctilio an ambient scribe?

No. Doctilio is a report-dictation app, not an ambient scribe. The doctor speaks their own diagnostic findings and Doctilio formats them into a structured report. It does not listen to or record patient conversations, so there is no patient encounter being captured, unlike ambient tools such as Abridge, Suki, or Nabla.

Which medical specialties is Doctilio built for?

Doctilio is tuned for report-heavy diagnostic specialties: radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, and cardiology (echo, cath, stress, and nuclear cardiology). It also supports other report-writing fields, including gastroenterology, pulmonology, neurology, ophthalmology, and operative notes.

Can I dictate radiology reports on my phone?

Yes. Doctilio is a native iPhone app (Android is coming soon) built for dictating diagnostic reports. You speak your findings at the reading station or between cases, transcription runs on-device, and the report is AI-formatted in seconds. No desktop workstation, special microphone, or PACS integration is required.

Does Doctilio work on-device?

Doctilio transcribes your speech to text entirely on your device, so the audio recording never leaves your phone and is never uploaded or stored. The resulting report text then syncs over an encrypted HTTPS connection so AI can format it and you can read your reports across devices.

Can Doctilio learn my drug names and referring physicians?

Yes. You can build a custom vocabulary of the terms you use, such as drug names, referring physicians, and abbreviations, and Doctilio recognizes them in your dictation. Your custom vocabulary is stored on your device and is never sent to us.

Can I use Doctilio without a typist?

Yes. Doctilio replaces the transcription step: you dictate, transcription happens on-device, and AI formats a structured report you review and export. There is no waiting on transcription staff and no per-minute caps. You produce the finished report yourself, any time.

Is there a PowerScribe alternative for a solo doctor or small practice?

Doctilio is built for the individual specialist and small practice that find PowerScribe, Dragon Medical, or Fluency for Imaging too expensive, desktop-bound, and integration-heavy. It is a mobile, on-device dictation app with AI report formatting, no PACS or RIS integration project, and no typist.

How does Doctilio handle patient data and privacy?

Speech-to-text runs on-device, so your audio is transcribed on your phone. Doctilio is not an ambient scribe and never records patient conversations. For exactly how your report data is stored and processed, see our Privacy Policy. No HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO certification is claimed.

Is Doctilio available to download?

Yes. Doctilio is live on the Apple App Store for iPhone, and it is free right now, no card required. The Android app is coming soon: join the waitlist from the contact page to be notified when it launches.

How much does Doctilio cost?

Right now, nothing. Doctilio is in its free period: the full app, no card required, no trial clock. The regular price is $19.99 per month per doctor, billed through the App Store, with no per-minute caps or hidden tiers. When pricing returns, we will announce it on this page and in the app at least two weeks ahead. Clinics and hospitals can contact us for volume pricing.

Why is it free? What is the catch?

There is no catch and no data trade. Doctilio is new, and doctors do not adopt clinical tools on marketing claims. We would rather be judged on your own reads than on our copy, so while we grow with our first users the app is free. No ads, and we never sell your data. Your voice never leaves your phone - report text syncs encrypted to our servers and a third-party AI provider. When the free period ends, Doctilio returns to its regular price of $19.99/month, with at least two weeks' notice.
